Jessica Mitchell

About me

Jessica Mitchell is a Canadian portrait artist based in Hamilton, Ontario. Her lifelong experience with acrylics, graphite, and pen-based realism has lent itself well to over a decade of portrait commissions. Jessica’s main artistic themes relate to how individuals choose to present (or hide) themselves in both real-life and online environments, which has been further influenced by her professional experiences working in both mental healthcare and software development. Her educational background in psychology has guided her understanding of the Self and the ways in which individuals mould themselves to fit into a larger community. Her portrait work has been shown in Toronto and Hamilton, Ontario.
